Innovation & Technology Transfer Initiative

Leveraging Intellectual Property for an Entrepreneurship Ecosystem

The Bowie State University Innovation & Technology Transfer Initiative aims to identify the needs and develop key resources for intellectual property protection, technology transfer and commercialization.

The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs and the Entrepreneurship Academy, along with our strategic consultant, The Commercializer, LLC, are coordinating the effort to devise a strategy to support Bowie State in leveraging intellectual property, which includes evaluating university assets and associated intellectual property policies, processes and ecosystems. This strategy will allow Bowie State to focus on areas for improvement and opportunities, engaging, educating and training faculty, students and other university stakeholders.

Initiative Goals
