Graduate Programs

The Department of Computer Science is committed to excellence in scholarly activities and research; inter-departmental and inter-university collaborative projects are particularly emphasized. Key research areas include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Biomedical Information Processing, Computer Graphics, Computer Networks, Computer Systems and Cybersecurity, Database Systems, Data Modeling, Data Mining, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Image Processing, Parallel and Distributed Algorithms, Parallel Processing, Software Engineering/Programming Languages, and Virtual Reality.

Advanced degrees include a Master of Science and Doctor of Science in Computer Science.  In addition, the department offers a Post- Baccalaureate Certificate in Computer Science.
