Research Experience for Undergraduates site in Global Food Security Research which combines both Global Experience and Undergraduate Research Experience is supported by National Science Foundation. This REU Site award support the training of 8 students in a 9-week program during the summers of 2019-2020. Students are paid a weekly stipend of $575. The program is hosted by Bowie State University (BSU)’s Department of Natural Sciences and the Department of Crops, Horticulture and Soils at Egerton University in Kenya in collaboration with College of Biological Sciences, the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
