Dr. Bo Yang received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Shandong University of China. His Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, earned in 2007 with a focus on large-scale data processing in content-addressable networks, is from the Pennsylvania State University – University Park. His primary area of research focuses on various issues in big data processing, information security, and machine learning. His other research interests include mobile and vehicular networking, cloud edge computing, and crowd computing. He has published over 50 journal and conference papers, including ACM/IEEE Transactions and a Best Paper Award of IEEE Conference, and received the Outstanding Journal Publications Award from CAS. He led the re-designation of Bowie State’s NSA/DHS National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (2015-2020) and is currently the Point of Contact of the Center for Cyber Security and Emerging Technologies.
