Program Requirements

 

Family Nurse Practitioner Track

To earn a Master of Science degree in nursing following the family nurse practitioner track, students must successfully complete 49 course credit hours, 600 practicum hours and a comprehensive exam.

Graduates of the program are eligible to take national certification examinations for the family nurse practitioner.

Nurse Educator Track

To earn a Master of Science degree in nursing following the nurse educator track, students must successfully complete 35 course credit hours, 120 practicum hours and a comprehensive exam.

After two years of fulltime faculty experience, graduates of the nurse educator program will be eligible to take the National League for Nursing (NLN) examination for the certified nurse educator.
