Computer Science (Doctoral Program)

  1. Two online recommendations
  • To request your online recommendations, please have the recommender's name, title, and email.
  • Resume or curriculum vita
  • Statement addressing your academic objectives to the field in which you plan to study. Include contemplated research projects and professional career goals. Include a description of relevant work experience as appropriate.

Counseling Psychology, Mental Health Counseling & School Counseling

Educational Leadership (Doctoral Program)

  1. Satisfactory score on the Miller Analogy Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Scores must be less than five years old.
  2. Three professional recommendation letters
  3. Curriculum vita.
  4. Administrator I/II certificate (or completed Administrator I/II coursework)
  5. Letter of application addressing in detail the applicant's interest in the doctoral program, prior administrative experience, and aspirations as an educational administrator

NOTE: students living outside of Maryland in SARA-approved states wishing to join programs which lead to professional licensure or certification should contact the appropriate admissions office prior to application to determine whether the BSU program of study and required online courses meet the requirements for licensure or certification in that state or if other additional steps are needed by the student while attaining or after attaining the formal degree.

BSU programs delivered at BSU or online which require state licensure/certification body approval may include: 

  • Educational Leadership 
  • Reading 

Once admitted, students wishing to enroll in online courses/programs or enroll in a degree program which leads to licensure or certification (those listed above) must also contact the university to discuss any change in location prior to relocation. Please be advised that continued enrollment cannot be guaranteed if a student moves to a state in which BSU is not authorized to offer education programs.

Master of Arts in Teaching

  • Praxis I scores

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores

Nursing
