Racing to Excellence Endowed Scholarship

The Racing to Excellence Endowed Scholarship was established in honor of Bowie State University President Aminta H. Breaux’s late father, Alex J. Woodley II.

In addition to being an educator and President and CEO of the Philadelphia Pioneer Educational-Athletic Development Club, Woodley was a renowned track and field coach who trained athletes in over 50 championships in the NCAA, World and Olympic Games. He greatly valued education and instilled in his family, his students and in the community the need to maintain excellence and high standards.

Your gift will inspire generations of students to run the race to excellence in academics and athletics, contributing to the betterment of their lives and the lives of others.
