About Us

Mission Statement

The mission of the Engage Center for Experiential Learning and Career Readiness is to engage students in designing purposeful careers and lives. In partnership with faculty, staff, employers, and community partners, we provide transformative experiential learning and career readiness opportunities that help students connect their strengths with their aspirations, explore multiple possibilities, and prepare for what’s next. This design-centered approach makes experiential learning and career readiness a defining hallmark of the BSU undergraduate and graduate experience.

As of May 2025, the Engage Center for Experiential Learning and Career Readiness has been reorganized, merging the following offices into a single unit as part of the university’s new Strategic Mission, Boldly Forward:

• Office of Engaged Learning and Student Support
• Office of Experiential and Integrative Learning
