Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Join Bowie State University as we celebrate the success and achievements of African Americans during Black History Month! The 2026 Black History Month theme is “A Century of Black History Commemorations.”

Our Spring Convocation celebrates the start of the spring semester and Black History Month. This year’s Spring Convocation keynote speaker is Benjamin L. Crump, Esq., president and founder of Ben Crump Law, PLLC. He is a renowned civil rights attorney and voice for marginalized communities.
