Bowie State University is working with Tichina Arnold to combat the $32B/year SMS phishing problem 

Bowie State University will host a special visit by Tichina Arnold. Ms. Arnold, an award-winning actress and co/star of the CBS hit sitcom, The Neighborhood, serves as an international spokesperson for the Gabriel® Crypto product. 

Funded by a National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant, Gabriel® is an industry-leading SMS phishing protection technology that leverages artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies to eliminate mobile eCommerce scams.

As a subcontractor to Texas-based Forward Edge-AI, Inc., BSU’s computer science faculty and students are developing a real-time machine learner to address emerging threats.
