The remarkable photographs of Baltimore photojournalist Paul Henderson (1899 - 1988) offer a vivid glimpse into the daily lives of African-Americans in Maryland. For over four decades, his lens captured scenes from the Civil Rights Movement, as well as prominent entertainers, politicians, and the vibrant African American community living in mid-20th century Baltimore. The prints in this exhibition are merely a fraction of the prolific photojournalist’s lifework.
The historic exhibition will be featured in the Student Center from February 4 - May 22, 2020.
