Using “Ally” Technology and Other Tools for ADA Compliance

Accessibility and ADA compliance has become a major concern in academia with some big-name higher-education institutions being involved in lawsuits as a result of non-compliance.  In this session, learn how to ensure that you are meeting ADA requirements for accessibility in your courses.  Discussion will be centered around creating accessible documents within Microsoft Word, and checking for accessibility within Word and Adobe Acrobat.  In addition, attendees will be shown Ally, a tool available in Blackboard, to perform a final check for accessibility.
