Inaugural Black Boys & Men Speaker Series

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Nationally recognized thought leader on African American males, Dr. James Earl Davis will be the keynote speaker for the Inaugural Black Boys and Men Speaker Series. The program will feature a special tribute to the late Dr. Vernon C. Polite, Founding Dean of the College of Education, and nationally recognized researcher and scholar of African American male students. 

The program will also feature a panel discussion with Dr. James Earl Davis and Black men in the DMV area working to support and develop Black boys and men in schools, mentoring programs, and universities. The premise behind this panel is that the future of Black boys and men is our responsibility.

  • Dr. Ramon Goings, Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, Loyola University Maryland, Faculty Fellow, Center for Research and Mentoring of Black Male Students and Teachers
