Workshop: Using Big Data to Save the World

This workshop provides attendees with hands-on experience with data analysis tools and an overview of possible doctoral research areas in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.  Attendees will learn to recognize valid sources of information and implement data analysis algorithms using Python and Jupyter Notebook.  We will then use these skills to harness the power of public data (e.g. traffic stop and arrest records, birth and death records, etc.) as a means of promoting awareness and social justice.
