BSU Theatre: What to Send Up When It Goes Down

7:30 PM

What to Send Up When it Goes Down by Aleshea Harris is a necessary narrative not only for black healing, but also white accountability in 2020’s America. The show in many aspects serves as a love letter to those who have been taken by the strong grip that is racism. While equally shedding light on those who were left behind to grieve their loved ones, as they fight each day to be seen and heard on a national level. The play combines all forms of performance (singing, dancing and acting) to tell the story of the immeasurability of black pain and the unrelentingness of black resilience.
