Panel Discussion and Film - Behind the Story: Lara and the Beat

Tosin Coker, award-winning filmmaker and CEO Director/Producer of Lara and the Beat, will share his insight as a Nigerian American on the making of the film and the value of multi-cultural education and experiences. Lara and the Beat is a coming of age movie about the young and beautiful Giwa sisters. The sisters are forces out of their privileged bubble and must learn to build their own future "through music and enterprise" to salvage their family’s legacy.
