Forward with Hope: Never Shall We Forget - Spring 2021 Symposium

Join the Bowie State University-University of Maryland Social Justice Alliance for our spring symposium, Forward with Hope: Never Shall We Forget / The Legacy of 1LT Richard W. Collins III.

The program will include words from Dawn and Rick Collins, Lt. Collins' parents, as well as a panel discussion inspired by an op-ed by Ibram X. Kendi, "Racial Progress Is Real. But So Is Racist Progress." The panel of social justice scholars and leaders will address the dual progressions of anti-racism and, simultaneously, anti-Blackness and white supremacy both in U.S. society at large and on college campuses specifically.
