Safe Space Ally Training

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Safe Space training is an opportunity to learn about:

  • LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and related communities) identities
  • gender
  • sexuality
  • examine prejudice
  • assumptions
  • privilege

Safe space is a voluntary network of faculty, staff, students, and community members who believe that every member of the university and the broader community should have an equal opportunity to grow and learn in a safe and open environment.

Both parts 1 and 2 are hosted virtually.

PART 2 (Ally Training) will focus on what does it mean to be an ally to the LGBTQIA community at BSU

In order to receive a certificate of completion and a safe space sticker, you must attend both training sessions
