Bias Check: Microagressions (A Grab and Go Lunch and Learn)

This year, the Office of Multicultural Programs and Services and the Office of Equity Compliance will bring you a 4 part series that gives you a chance to check your OWN bias.  The first of this series will be about microagressions- those small, almost unnoticeable ways in which people are judged, dismissed, or devalued that can lead to a lot of damage to an organization.  You will learn about what they are, why they are dangerous, and how your use of them may be shaping the daily experience of those around you.  We will teach you how to avoid using microagressions in favor of clear and respectful communication, and how to step in when others around you are experiencing microagressions.  A box lunch will be provided for this event.  The day before your selected session, you will receive both a Zoom link and a room location for lunch pick up.
