Human Resources Development (HRD) Annual Symposium & Expo

Every year, the Human Resource Development (HRD) program at Bowie State University through the HRD Evolve Society organizes a Symposium and Expo centered on trending topics in HRD or the professional world. The HRD Annual Symposium & Expo has been held for over 20 years and brings current students, past alumni, and HR Industry experts to Bowie State University.

The theme is Honoring Legacy ~ Building on Talent ~ Partnering Strategically.  

During the Symposium the plan is to:  

• Recognize and celebrate Dr. Welch for his many years of leadership and contributions - building on the success of Bowie State University’s HRD program. 
• Facilitate an informational session of the HRD program - its course curriculum and program electives - to gain understanding and alignment on what’s needed to graduate and succeed in the program.  
• Host network opportunities with HRD, Business, and Project Manager industry experts where firsthand knowledge and experience is shared via career/business advice and career opportunities
