Annual Data Science and Analytics (DSA) Symposium

The Role of Data Science and Analytics in Addressing Social Injustice and the Disparities in Socio-Economic Opportunities in the U.S.
 
This two-day conference will be held in person and virtually on the campus of BSU and will feature speakers and panelists from the US Census Bureau, academia, government and industry. They will present the latest data science-related Census Bureau resources, share research outcomes and plans in several domains, and discuss DSA workforce, training and education.

About the Symposium

Some of the resources that will be shared from the US Census Bureau are:

  • Annual Business Survey (ABS) Program
  • Criminal Justice Administrative Records System (CJARS)
  • Census Business Builder (CBB)
  • Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics

The symposium includes a DSA Student Datathon, where student teams will present the outcome of their DSA projects, winners will be selected, and prizes will be awarded.
