Indigenous Peoples’ Day Watch Party and Discussion
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM
One of the most important aspects of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is the value of intersectionality. In the midst of Hispanic Heritage Month, join the Office of Multicultural Programs and Services intentionally reflect on the intersectionality between the Latino, Native American, and Black community to honor Indigenous People's Day (colonial reference Columbus Day). This event is hosted by the Smithsonian- National Museum of the American Indian during the Indigenous People's Day: Transformative Teaching with a special emphasis on Native youth social justice initiatives. Join us as we watch, eat, and fellowship during this important day in colonial history.
