3rd Annual Institute for Restorative Justice and Practices Conference

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This conference provides a platform for practitioners, criminal justice agents, activists, community leaders, educators, students, policymakers, and experts to explore, discuss, and engage in experiential learning of indigenous restorative justice practices. The environment will foster a synergetic exchange of ideas and make space for the work of restoration in all its forms. Through interactive workshops, the ultimate goals of the conference are to 1) Explore “conflict” as a community experience, 2) Discuss research and best practices for restorative healing, and consider their applicability in homes, educational settings, community domains and justice-related spheres, 3) Engage in reflective and transformative discourse grounded in indigenous practices and, 4) Inspire individuals to commit to the work of restoration, and to using these practices in their individual and collective spaces.
