Athletic Data Analytics Camp 2023

The majority of youth who participate in sports throughout their adolescence typically focuses on perfecting their skills and being the star athlete on their team, not much emphasis nor thought is given on the data that determines how a sport is operated and marketed, generates money, and how athletes are selected and measured.

Our camp will take a deep dive into sport data analytics and deliver an immersive two- week design thinking, project-based, and team-focused learning experience for high school students between the ages of 14-18. The camp will focus on data analytics within a variety of sports and introduce college degree programs, job opportunities, and careers in data analytics across all sports. The camp will have guest speakers, presentations, and in- person training from professionals within the sports and data analytics arena.
The camp will be in-person from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (EST) Monday - Friday at Bowie State University, College of Business from July 24th - August 4th.
