Prostate Cancer Education Session
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Each year in the US and globally September is observed as prostate cancer awareness month. Worldwide African American men are consistently having the highest disgnosis of incidence and mortality among any other male racial group. Based upon data from the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer in young men is an emerging young adult and older adolescent challenge. With that being said this prostate education session will provide BSU students an opportunity to join us to hear from a healthcare professional and a firsthand account of a patient’s experience living with prostate cancer. You will learn about managing prostate cancer and treatment options available including an FDA approved treatment for
metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). This program will include an
interactive Q&A session.
