Intersectionality Tunnel of Oppression Virtual

5:15 PM - 7:00 PM

The Office of Multicultural Programs and Services and the LGBTQIA Resource Center is proud to host the annual Intersectionality Tunnel of Oppression. The Tunnel of Oppression is an interactive/ experiential learning event highlighting contemporary issues of oppression in our society. Tunnel of Oppression topics generally raises awareness about specific areas of oppression across identities and communities coupled with exploring opportunities for social change.

Intersectionality Tunnel of Oppression will focus on the intersectionality (colorism, ability, and sexual orientation) as it relates to the month of October diversity themed awareness for Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15), disability Awareness month, and LGBT History Month. This intentional virtual Tunnel of Oppression will be facilitated by Dr. Anjerrika Bean from Howard University Women's Global Leadership Center and Dr. Keadrick Peters.

On the behalf of becoming a culturally aware global citizen and fostering a more inclusive BSU community, we implore you to lean in during this diversity, equity, and inclusion experiential learning at Bowie State University. Please register in advance via zoom.
