HBCU Athletics Research Consortium 2024

The HBCU-ARC event for 2024, themed "Beyond the Scoreboard: HBCU Athletics Charting the Course in the Shifting Landscape of Collegiate Sports." This event is a unique opportunity for Sport Management programs at HBCUs to showcase their expertise and contribute to the ongoing success of HBCU athletic programs.

The HBCU-ARC event is designed with a four-part focus, covering:

1. Theoretical Framework: Providing a platform for academicians and advanced doctoral students to share their current research on HBCUs' sport studies.
2. Cultural Empowerment: Addressing the enhancement of economic, political, social, educational, administration, and leadership aspects of HBCUs' athletic programs regarding sports entities.
3. Practical Application: Shedding light on the most successful athletic programs and best practices currently in practice at HBCUs across the nation.
4. Student Engagement: Involving undergraduate students in their own learning and personal growth through various programs such as sport business case study competitions and sport business job fairs.
