Dr. Rand Obeidat is an Assistant Professor of Data Analytics at Bowie State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, data analytics applications, health informatics, and disparities in Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) participation. She has led several grant-funded initiatives, including the NSF-funded Expand AI project, which integrates AI across academic disciplines. Dr. Obeidat collaborates with organizations such as the U.S. Census Bureau and the National Bureau of Economic Research to examine data-driven policy and workforce development issues. She teaches courses in data analytics, business intelligence, and AI integration using project-based and experiential learning approaches. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards for research and teaching, and she actively supports interdisciplinary partnerships and data science workforce initiatives.
