Sunando Sengupta

Dr Sunando Sengupta earned his PhD in Financial Economics in 2005 from the Department in Economics in the prestigious W.P. Carey School of Business at the Arizona State University. His currently teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate finance courses.

Dr Sengupta has presented his research in both national and international research conferences including the annual meeting of the Financial Management Association (FMA), Eastern Economic Association, Washington Business Journal, National Association of Business, Economics and Technology(NABET) etc.

Dr Sengupta has published his research in various peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of International Finance and Economics, Review of Business Research, International Journal of Business and Finance Research etc and has served as reviewer for various journals. He has also received various awards for his research including the “Outstanding Research Award” in the Institute of Business and Finance Research conference in San Jose, Costa Rica in 2007 and the Pillar of Success Award for Research in 2014 in the College of Business, BSU.

He also serves as the faculty advisor to the Finance and Economics Club in the College and through the club, has successfully organized various speaker events both within the University and outside such as the NASP Annual Business lunch in New York City, Wall Street on Campus event at Howard University. He has served on various committees related to accreditation including ACBSP, Middle States, and AACSB
