Martin Luther King, Jr. Center Ribbon-Cutting

On August 27, 2024, Bowie State University President Aminta H. Breaux unveiled the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, which honored the power of voice and free expression to inspire generations of students.

The legacy of one of the most prominent speakers of change is fused into notable features of this new building. The specialized learning environments promote innovation across studies in history, language, literature, communications and media studies.
Prominent features include a 1,500-seat auditorium and special spaces for military science, honoring the legacy of our fallen Bulldog 1st Lt. Richard W. Collins III and those who serve to protect our freedom.
