Thesis Statement

For my thesis I made my central idea upcycling and more sustainable living. My thesis consists of graphics, illustrations, and infographics on and what simple things can be done in an up cycle. Upcycling is the act of taking something you already have and repurposing it. I personally grew up with not a lot of money, so thrift stores and using what we had was necessary. In my research I was inspired by Annika Victoria, Business Insider, and Hasan Minhaj. Over the years I’ve curated many upcycled items, and tips and created digital media to convey the creation process and end products. I created this thesis after learning more about the effects on the environment from fast fashion (such as the Patriot Act episode specifically on the topic) “If everyone bought one item used in the year, instead of a new one that would prevent 6 pounds of C02 emissions, the equivalent of half a million cars off the road” -Kron 4 News April 2019. Overall I would like to advocate for more creative reuse in a showcase of almost completely reused items, graphics, mediums, and digital art.

  • Since the beginning of my career, I’ve focused on channeling my talent and creativity into meaningful and powerful results. I take pride in the work I do, as well as the strong relationships I’ve built with clients and colleagues. I firmly believe in working hard, working together and having fun along the way. Much of my personal work integrates my own illustrations, paintings, and amature photography.
