Pre-Law Program

The legal profession intersects every area of our lives from business, the sciences, government, the arts and education. Whether you are pursuing a law degree to address social justice and equity issues or address corporate matters, the first steps require thoughtful reflection and preparation. (large paragraph style)

The pre-law program in Bowie State’s Department of History and Government is designed to guide and support you on your journey to law school. In additional to taking 15 credit hours for the minor program, our activities include:

  • Preparation for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and the overall application process
  • Curricular and co-curricular activities to develop your effective writing, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Events to equip you with the professional skills, academic knowledge and outlook necessary to succeed in professional school and legal careers
