Special Opportunities
- Join: The Sport Management Association provides a community outside of the classroom, where students learn the importance of networking and develop the level of professionalism needed in the sport management field. The Sport Management Association provides volunteer opportunities at Bowie State University, CIAA, and in local communities.
- Experience: The Sport Management program will provide students with opportunities to gain valuable industry experience. Bowie State’s location provides students with access to many interscholastic, collegiate, recreational, and professional organization with Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Virginia. within close proximity.
- Partnerships: Bowie State University Sport Management department has established partnerships with local and national sport organizations to provide students in the classroom with in-depth knowledge of day-to-day operations of an organization as well as internship opportunities. We currently have a partnership with the Brooklyn Nets. Students will also observe local sport facilities through a management lens with behind-the-scenes tours.
