In-Person Tours

We’re excited that you’re interested in visiting Bowie State University! Our student-led tour consists of an overview of the buildings and history of the campus which last approximately 1-1.5 hours long. We encourage all families and groups to plan ahead and book a tour in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit to the campus.

Booking Your Tour

Bowie State University is now accepting Small Group Tour reservations for Summer 2026 through August 5, 2026. We invite you to reserve your visit by booking a tour using the link below. Reservations for upcoming tour periods will open on the 15th of the preceding month.

Frequent Questions

  • There is no difference between the two groups. The color designation assists us with scheduling.

  • The tour lasts about an hour to an hour and a half.

  • All campus tours will be conducted as scheduled unless the university closes. In that case, you will be contacted in advance.

  • Guest are not permitted into the residence halls. However, your tour guide will direct you to the building and provide a description of the inside.

  • Groups of eight people or less are permitted on campus for self-guided tours. You may use our interactive virtual tour as a guide for your visit. Please note that the tour begins at the Student Center (building 20 on the campus map).

  • You may reschedule by viewing your confirmation email and selecting the "reschedule" option. Please note that you are only able to reschedule from the dates available on the booking site.

  • To cancel your tour, please view your confirmation email and select the "cancel" option. You may also email campustours@bowiestate.edu to cancel your tour.

  • Yes, all groups may eat in the Dining Hall. Be sure to request this when completing the form for large tours.

  • We accept one form of payment for the entire group. Groups may pay using cash, card, credit card authorization form, or check.
