Recruiting and Networking Events
The Engage Center for Experiential Learning and Career Readiness partners with employers, community organizations, and alumni to coordinate recruiting and networking events that connect you with talented students and alumni. These events provide high-impact opportunities to share your mission, highlight opportunities, build professional relationships, and support student career readiness in meaningful ways. Whether you’re seeking to introduce your organization, interview candidates, or build industry networks, recruiting and networking events allow you to engage with the BSU community on your terms while elevating your presence as a partner invested in student and workforce success.
Coordinate Recruiting and Networking Events
The Engage Center coordinates and supports a variety of employer and community partner driven recruiting and networking events beyond career fairs, including:
Information Tables:
Reserve a designated space on campus to engage directly with students and alumni in a high-visibility setting. Information tables provide an opportunity to promote your organization, share employment and experiential learning opportunities, distribute materials, and answer questions in an informal yet professional environment. Tabling sessions are ideal for increasing brand awareness and generating early interest ahead of recruiting cycles.
Information Sessions:
Host structured presentations where students and alumni can learn more about your organization’s mission, culture, career pathways, and application processes. Information sessions may be conducted in person or virtually and are particularly effective for highlighting early talent initiatives, internship programs, other experiential learning opportunities, and full/part-time employment opportunities prior to key deadlines.
Interview Sessions:
Connect one-on-one with qualified candidates through structured interview sessions. These may include initial screening interviews, first-round interviews, panel formats, or on-site interviews tailored to your recruiting needs.
Networking Events:
Provide opportunities for students, alumni, and employers to build meaningful professional relationships in relaxed, conversational settings. Networking sessions often include employer meet-and-greets, industry mixers, and themed networking nights that foster connection beyond formal recruitment processes.
Specialized Recruiting Events:
Throughout the year, the Engage Center partners with employers to host targeted recruiting activities focused on specific industries, majors, or professional interests. These events may include industry-specific meetups, graduate school and fellowship information sessions, government or nonprofit recruitment programs, and other specialized engagements aligned with organizational goals.
Career Fairs:
