Biography

Kevin Holder’s twenty-plus years of experience in education as a multi-disciplinary artist has given him a wealth of knowledge that he applies to the field of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Digital Painting, Printmaking, and 3D Animation.

Recent research includes exploration of Afro Brazilian descends in the town of Cachoeira, Brazil celebrating life, death, and happiness.

Kevin Holder has received many commissions for his artwork including the Government House Mural Project, US Virgin Islands, sponsored by Virgin Islands Anti-Litter And Beautification Committee, and Selection as Artist in Residence in the “Seas Program” by the DC Commission on the Arts.

He has also received numerous awards for his artwork including the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities “Art in Public Places”, and the St. Johns-St. Thomas Arts Council Caribbean Color Award – First Place. He was nominated for the District of Columbia Mayor’s Arts Awards (1995).

Recently, Mr. Holder’s work was selected from among the nearly 200 entries for the 4th Biennial Maryland Regional Juried Art Exhibition Presented by University of Maryland Global Campus December 8, 2019–March 15, 2020
