Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Special Opportunities

  • Join: Our students enjoy participation in two active organizations: The Criminal Justice Club and Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Students also benefit from The Baltimore Scholars Program and the LSAT Award Program, both offered at the University of Baltimore Law School. Participation in those programs has been influential in helping interested majors earn admission and, at the same time, increases diversity in legal education.
  • Explore: Our state-of-the-art criminalistics lab is the gateway to the latest techniques and procedures in crime scene investigations. Students learn how to analyze physical evidence—from fingerprints and firearms to documents and toxicology reports—and reconstruct past events with high-powered microscopes and high-speed cameras. Traditional instruction is enhanced by frequent field trips and guest speakers, exposing students to networking and employment possibilities in the field.
