What to Bring
Packing for BSU
Each room includes a bed, desk, chair, closet and dresser. Remember to pack light and only bring the essential items you need, initially. Storage will be your closet space and under your bed. We encourage you to coordinate with your roommate in advance of arriving to plan possible shared items.
Bedding
- Sheets (Twin XL)
- Comforter, Blankets, Bedspread, Pillows, Pillowcases
- Mattress Cover, Mattress Pad, Egg Crate
Electronics
- Desk/Floor Lamp
- Minifridge (no larger than 4 cubic feet)
- Surge protector/power strip
- 24’ TV, speaker, other electronics
Other Items
- Face Coverings (three recommended)
- Soap, Toiletries, Shower Caddy & Shower Shoes
- Towels, Washcloths
- Laundry Bag, Detergent & Clothes Hangers
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Bed Risers (must NOT have outlets)
- First Aid Kit
- Flash Light, Batteries, Emergency Kit
- School/Desk Supplies
- Non-damaging wall fasteners for hanging items
- Cleaning Supplies (Disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, etc.)
- Broom & Dustpan
- Small Trash Can & Trash Bags
Documentation
- Photo ID/State ID
- Insurance cards
- Health records and other important identifying documents you may need in the case of an emergency
- List of emergency contacts
While microwaves are not permitted, students may purchase an energy star approved microfridge or rent one from:
