Meet the Ambassadors
Our Undergraduate Research Ambassadors are student leaders who are passionate about research and committed to helping their peers get involved. These ambassadors have firsthand experience conducting research at Bowie State University and serve as advocates for student discovery, exploration, and innovation.
Computer Science, Class of 2027Ayomide Aisida
My research experience includes developing and training Feedforward Neural Networks (FNNs) using Python, TensorFlow, and NumPy to solve linear and quadratic equations. I analyzed model performance using metrics such as Mean Squared Error and explored the limitations of FNNs in symbolic computation. Additionally, I contributed to the development of S.P.A.R.K.I, an interactive coding education platform that leverages large language models (LLMs) to provide personalized learning support, real-time feedback, and automated assessments.
Psychology, Class of 2027Bracey T. Gross
I am actively conducting research on how artificial intelligence can enhance classroom experiences for Autistic students. As part of this work, they are developing an innovative app designed to support neurodiverse learners through personalized, adaptive educational tools. Research has provided me with a deeper understanding of inclusive education, hands-on experience in AI development, and the opportunity to advocate for neurodiverse learners through innovative, tech-driven solutions.
Early Childhood/Special Education, Class of 2027Jasmyn Cepeda
I have participated in undergraduate research throughout my three years at Bowie State University. My most recent project focuses on developing an AI-powered application designed to foster communication with semi- and nonverbal autistic students. Through this work, I aim to promote inclusivity and enhance learning opportunities for students with diverse communication needs.
