The Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC)
Bowie State University’s Fine and Performing Arts Center opened in the spring of 2012 and features extraordinary resources for students and faculty including specialized art studios; a photography processing lab; an art gallery; and an outdoor sculpture workspace. The 123,000 square-foot building also includes a 400-seat main stage theatre, a 200-seat black box theatre, a movement studio, and a 200-seat recital hall. Spacious classrooms, laboratories and office suites are strategically placed throughout the building to accommodate various faculty and programs.

Box Office Information
Please note that the BSU Theatre Box Office now operates through On the Stage. All tickets must be reserved and paid electronically through the BSU Theatre On the Stage platform. Make reservations for all theatre and dance productions by visiting the BSU portal at OnTheStage.com . Tickets may be picked up 30 minutes prior to performance time and seating begins 15 minutes prior to curtain.

Told through spoken word and hip-hop lyrics, this new play follows strangers Vaughn and Ellis as they tackle hustle culture, internalized anti-blackness and gentrification. Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s WAITING FOR GODOT. (30 minutes) (PG-13)

In this hilarious reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s 1895 hit comedy, James and Adonis find out the importance of being earnest at a summer backyard barbeque. (85 minutes) (not appropriate for children)
