A six-week residential summer program for incoming freshmenBulldog Scholars Academy
Designed to ignite love for learning and build strong academic foundations, Bulldog Scholars Academy gives incoming freshman an opportunity to jump-start their education by earning six credits toward graduation. Academy participants live on campus, take two college-level courses, and receive academic and social support.
Interdisciplinary learning communities for first and second-year studentsScholars Studio
Scholars Studio creates inclusive, community-oriented learning experiences that help students expand perspectives, make connections, and develop bold visions for the future. Each learning community or Studio offers a cohort of students an opportunity to explore a particular topic, problem, or theme through an interdisciplinary lens. Studios consist of 2-5 general education courses and provide hands-on, contextualized learning experiences.
Academic, personal, and leadership developmentSupport for First-Generation Students
Defined as students whose parents or guardians did not receive a bachelor's degree, first-generation students are leaders and trail blazers. We understand the gravity of this undertaking and support them by demystifying college processes and providing academic and personal support. Services include tutoring, cultural outings, academic counseling, and more.

Engage! offers live and virtual opportunities for students to connect with big questions and current ideas. Most topics fall under the themes of civic engagement, social justice, and entrepreneurship/innovation. All BSU students are welcome to participate.
