(BOWIE, Md.) – The spirit of giving at the heart of Bowie State University’s #BSU4LIFE drives the entire university community to support students as they pursue their dreams and persist to graduation. The inaugural Giving Days, running from May 24-25, is a 48-hour challenge to each member of the Bowie State community to donate boldly to meet or exceed the goal of raising $50,000. Join the challenge: www.bowiestate.edu/givingdays.

The timing of the new annual fundraising effort is significant: the two days after spring commencement when the university is celebrating the achievements of another outstanding class of Bowie State graduates. The ask is simple: give what you can to support tomorrow’s Bowie State students and challenge others to do the same. Alumni donors, Joseph Harris (’02) and Eric Smith (’06), share what motivates them to give as Giving Day ambassadors.

When you do more to support Bowie State, the university can do more to support generations of talented students to earn their degrees.
